Horse & Hound Show Team
We have a great group of riders that are involved in our Horse Show Team! These riders are dedicated to the sport and work hard in their lessons to prepare for our horse show outings. They practice great horsemanship and take wonderful care of their animals. Our Show Team is lead by Trainer Savannah Whitten. The team is always looking for new sponsors to help offset the costs of shows and equipment. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor please inquire below!
Trainer: Savannah Whitten
With 18 years of horse and riding experience in both the United States and Europe, Savannah is a skilled horseback riding coach with a diverse background across multiple disciplines, including dressage, hunter/jumper, and vaulting. Having worked with riders of all levels, from beginners to advanced competitors, Savannah brings a unique perspective to coaching. She is dedicated to fostering trust and communication between horse and rider so they can thrive and achieve their full potential. While she loves to teach new riders the basics, her passion is in refining and fine tuning more advanced skills between horse and rider.
Trainer: Krystal Caldwell
Krystal brings over 25 years of horseback riding experience and more than 20 years of teaching to her role as an instructor. A versatile horsewoman, she has trained in hunters, cross country, and dressage, and competed nationally as a member of the Virginia Intermont College Equestrian Team, earning multiple championships. In 2014, she co-founded Horse & Hound with her sister and later expanded the business to its current location, where she began offering riding lessons. Krystal is passionate about sharing her broad equine knowledge both in and out of the saddle, helping riders of all levels grow in skill and confidence.
